1          Take in a show at one of the famous Glasgow Theatres
We are in Glasgow Thetareland! Glasgow has many Theatres from the likes of The Royal Concert Hall and the Kings Theatre to the Pavilion theatre thats been keeping Glaswegians laughing for almost 100 years. 2          Attend a premier League Football match
Glasgow is home to the two biggest football teams in Europe - Rangers and Celtic - and you can visit both grounds - Ibrox & Parkhead (Celtic Park). For Rangers fixtures click here and for Celtic fixtures click here

 

3          Glasgow shopping
Glasgow has some of the finest shopping in the UK, second only to London. Glasgow city centre shopping is focused around 3 main streets, Sauchiehall St, Buchanan St and Argyll St. Close to the hotel, Byres Road in the west end has an eclectic mix of shops, and Braehead shopping centre is an edge of town shopping complex for those who can't get enough of the town centre

 

4          Attend a concert at the SEC (formerly SECC)

5          Take a Glasgow City Tour
One of the more relaxed and traditional things to do in Glasgow is an open top tour bus ride. Great on a lovely sunny day and you can sit downstairs in the warm and dry on the more wilder days that we get. The best thing is that the ticket lasts for 2 days and you can hop on and off as you like. The good thing about choosing the open top but tour as one of your things to do in Glasgow is that it stops right outside our front door!!

 

6          Enjoy fabulous Glasgow nightlife
Glaswegians certainly know how to enjoy themselves. Glasgow city centre has over 50 clubs, from hip-hop to hard house, Glasgow is the place for night life! That's on top of the 100 or so pubs and bars. Friday and Saturday nights see the streets swell with people moving from one place to another, although you can find some of the best entertainment in Britain on every night during the week.

 

7          Marvel at the famous Glasgow Architecture
The Lighthouse is Scotlands centre for Architecture, design and the city. Lots of stunning exhibitons take up almost 6 floors and theres a great cafe for some refreshments. Definitely one of the things to do in Glasgow if you are lover of great architecture!

 

8          Take in a film at IMAX or at Cineworld
There is one very large cinema in the city centre: CineWorld (the tallest cinema in the world!). We are 100 yards from this great Glasgow cinsma. Also in the centre is the GFT, a small cinema focusing on less commercial productions...and on the outskirts of city centre, across the river Clyde, are Odeon (Springfield Quay) and IMAX. Get the latest cinema programmes here

 

9          Take a Clyde Boat Trip or a cruise on PS Waverley
Seaforce offer powerboat rides, training and safety boat cover on the clyde. With trips ranging from the half hour Clyde Ride, the first high-speed city-centre boat ride in world, to the four to five hour Clyde Estuary Tour with a stop at Kilcreggan for lunch, this wonderful experience is both unique and customisable. One of the best things to do in Glasgow!

 

10        Visit Glasgow Climbing Centre
Another of the more exciting things to do in glasgow is try your hand at climbing! Get vertical on a variety of surfaces from ground level to 12m (40ft) inverted lead climbs. If you're already a climber, you'll appreciate the relaxed atmosphere combined with constantly changing variety and challenge. If you've never climbed before, the Glasgow Climbing Centre is your gateway to a whole new world

Go up the Titan Crane
The Titan Crane is one of the newer visitors attractions when you are looking for things to do in Glasgow, it is a few miles from Glasgow city centre. Take a seaplane flight
